Chemo round 5 “ kicked my butt”
Hi friends ,
Sorry this is late but round 5 really kicked my butt !
When I went in for chemo My IV line was a bit sluggish so they gave me clot busters to clear it up and boy did the chemo ever kick in quick this time .
When I left the chair both feet were numb I felt like a baby elephant taking first steps .
When I got in the air conditioned car and took off my face mask by lips immediately contracted and started to shake ,I looked like an old lady who had suddenly lost her dentures .
I lost my sense of taste for about 9 days which was not fun. I felt hungry but nothing tasted good . Poor Ken he was like an Uber driver on steroids ! I was craving things he would pick up ,I would take a bite and it would not taste good at all so he would try another place. I basically did oatmeal for a week .
However I did squeeze in a nice drive and saw the Elvis movie at a matinee (it was a great show ) so 2 outings is a big step for me !
The girls are having lots of fun in NS and Andrew enjoyed some Dad time at the lake .
